Day 3 – Monbazillac

Our original plan was to go to a planned Aire I had gotten from a forum. On arrival we couldn\’t see any signs of an Aire so decided to go and look at one on the main road which turned out to be a campsite closed for winter. Next stop was in god centre of Bergerac but again we couldn\’t stay as they were building on the location. After briefly looking at the books we decided to travel to our overnight stop at a car park for the chateaux at Monbazillac.

No facilities but a quiet location initially on our own but later joined by one French van who left early. Tried to see if we could pick up someone\’s internet but no luck. Want to get some access as I want to follow AFCB in the FA cup this afternoon. My chance to use the EuropeSIM I purchased in th UK. After trying to understand where to get the pin from that was being requested and changing the settings on the MIFI I finally got it working. However it wasn\’t long before the speed got down to a snails pace and it was very frustrating so I turned it off and thought that this would have to be kept for emergencies only.

The distance travelled today was approx 190 km. not a bad stopover for the night.
