Day 5- Hondarribia
We left today at around 11am after showers and servicing the van.
We headed towards Bayonne so that we could get some replacement wiper blades. I noticed that when I had swapped them over, due to the driver blade not clearing the rain, I failed to realise that they were not of equal length so it was time to get some new ones. Eventually we found Noroauto which is like the France equivalent of Halfords.
Next we made our way to Hondarribia which is a car park right next to a marina and a headland. Great views out to the sea. There are about 10 vans here. We now have had our first taste of Spain. Can\’t say when we entered Spain from France as there was no place en route that told us just the signs seemed different and the cars had Spanish number plates.
Quiet afternoon relaxing after travelling only 120 km today. We still have a week to travel down through Spain to get yo the camp site to meet up with the others. Checked but could not find any free wifi access. Back to the kindle I suppose.
We would certainly like to come back again…. Very nice overnight stop
