Day 7 – Caceres

After a good nights sleep we were one of the last to leave the site. The plan originally was to travel only a short distance and then the following day spend 2 nights at Caceres however on consulting the books I realised that the maximum stay at Caceres was 1 night so plans changed.

Good journey on dual carriageways all the way. The roads are excellent and easy to drive although can be boring.

We arrived at about 3pm to find we had the last spot in the recognised Aire. The couple we met in the morning arrived about 30 minutes later and went and parked up on the unofficial overflow. For the first time I could not get the satellite dish to lock on to Astra 2 so will not have any TV tonight. It was not unexpected as we are now well down into Southern Spain and on the edge of the footprint.

We are going to travel to an Aire on the Atlantic Coast tomorrow and if we like it we will stay a couple of nights
