Day 8 – Sanlucar De Barrameda

We travelled a little further today (370 km) so that we could get near the sea and some sunshine and warmth. We are not disappointed.
Neither of us slept well last for different reasons. Tina was suffering from indigestion and I was worried about not being able to sort out the DA website. I lay awake for what seemed hours at around 3am…. The street lights at the site were streaming light in all night.
The site had in excess of 20 vans overnight and we were the last on the official Aire. When we put the blinds down at around 9am, which for us was early, there were only a few vans remaining.
We left Caceres at around 10am and arrived at our destination at approximately 2:30pm. The roads once again were excellent and all but 50 km on motorway standard dual carriageway.
The site is in a sandy car park with views looking out to sea. I am sure that in the summer it is busy and could cram up to 100 vans on this site. The temperature at 3pm is 20 degree Celsius and virtually no wind. Just like a summers day in the UK only this is Spain in January.
