Day 20 – Taghazout beach
We left the campsite this morning at 09:30am and drove to the Marjane (hypermarket) we had spotted coming back from the square last evening. Tina wants to buy a plastic washing machine preferably a twin tub. Not sure where would store it in our Tardis but she would find somewhere I am sure.
The special offer of a single washer had sold out – 299 dh. We bought some other essentials including 5l of oil. We left there at about 11:00am. Later we understand that the five remaining vans had also attempted to find the same supermarket but instead found themselves driving around the centre of Marrakech for 90mins and whilst doing so one had scraped his awning against the side of an archway.
Ken and I pushed on towards our destination and stopped about halfway in some services. On leaving we met this group going by. A little while down the road we passed them as they were going to Tiznit some 50km south of Taghazout.
We arrived and found the existing group of Funsters and found a spot looking out to sea. The weather was hot and most enjoyable. Later I joined the others in the evening and had a couple of beers sitting with them.
