Day 13 – Peschiera Del Garda

Saturday night in Iseo certainly lasts along time. The locals must have all been out partying and certainly it did not go quite until well after 1am. We had intended to stay another night but what with the noise and the fact that the cassette toilet was near overflowing we needed to move on.

Stopped in Iseo at a supermarket for a few basics before travelling back to Lake Garda but we had chosen a sosta recommended on one of the forums. The cost is €12 per night but we do have the use of showers and electric. On first connecting up we kept tripping the supply as we had the electric hot water on…. it must only be a 6amp supply.

The temperature has been almost unbearable at 35 deg. I am reminded by Tina that we could do with a roll out awning. Maybe one day I will succumb.

Taken the boys for a walk down to the lake. It seems to be the place to visit. People and motorbikes everywhere. It could be Poole on a Tuesday night. We have all come back exhausted by the exercise in this heat… mainly the boys I must say.

The site was crowded when we first got here but many of the weekenders have now left leaving the site with a few empty pitches.

Hope to get the scooter off tomorrow and see where it takes us. Lets hope the weather stays the same.The forecast looks like it is staying and getting better later in the week.
