Day 2 – Chateaudun

We left the site at around 10:15 and travelled most of the day at a steady pace of around 60mph. We stopped for lunch at around 13:00 at a site we had stayed at on our way home in early 2014.
We arrived at around 16:30. I was hoping to get the match commentary for the AFC Bournemouth match with Rotherham in the FA Cup. I had been listening to the internet radio whilst we were travelling but the signal was intermittent so was not a great success.
Once at our overnight stop things were not much better. I eventually settled to following a live online blog of the match. It gave 3 word phrases every couple of minutes but I was able to follow the goals being scored. The final result was 5-1 to Bournemouth. At least it made it worthwhile.
After dinner we spent the evening with Terry & Brenda, our travelling companions, planning the next day and talking about routes that we might take to our final destination before the ferry crossing to Morocco. We had a pleasant evening chatting with them and getting to know them better. We finally said our good byes and agreed to start off in the morning at a similar time as today at around 10am
