Day 45 – Foum Zguid

Woken early this morning with the sound of our Italian friends getting ready to leave the site. They left at around 7:30am. So glad I am not in their party…. we are not up for early starts. We got ourselves ready for the journey and left around 11am. The road was straight and along flat land. We did see a variety of animals that included the usual goats, sheep etc but also some camels.
It was around 1:30pm when we arrived in the town and pulled of the road down a scruffy track. My thoughts were “What are we doing trying to stay here!”. However on pulling through the archway and beckoned around the back of the site we soon found ourselves in our own parking area with electric and clean toilets close by (albeit they look dilapidated they were extremely clean)
After lunch we dragged the washing machine out from the garage and Tina set too and started the mountain of washing. It had been 10 days since we last used the machine. In the heat of the day that we were enjoying the bedding and clothes soon dried. Next it was Brenda’s turn to make a start on her clothes washing. Her bedding will be completed tomorrow.
After dinner Tina decided that she would have an early night to rest her aching bones. She retired at around 9pm.
Tomorrow there is the weekly souk in town so we plan to take a stroll the short distance to have a look at what they have to offer…. perhaps another teapot for Tina.
