Day 56 – Safi
Another quiet day… warm if not a little breezy.
We took the opportunity to catch up with family and friends using Skype. Not a lot of gossip but just good to hear that everything is OK back at home.
After lunch Tina decided to have a lie down and I couldn’t sit there anymore and see our lounge blind all crumpled so I decided to have a go and fix it. Fortunately I watched the fitter back at the garage in Agadir when he tried re-tensioning it so I knew how to take it apart. With a little help from Terry at the end with the tensioning it was soon operational again.
The two dutch groups moved off today so there were only a handful of units here on site. Very peaceful.
Featured image today was taken at Essouira where we met a Moroccan guy, educated in the USA, and his girlfriend travelling in the trike. They had done 7000km in 9 months sleeping and eating in this vehicle.
Moving on tomorrow with a general plan of moving up the coast a little further. We will see where we end up tomorrow night…..
