Day 1 – Wissant

We left our New Year meet rally around 10:45am. We had met some old friends as well as made a few more. We spent time with Linda & Michael Reading who were two lovely people. Looking forward to the next time we meet.

On to Tesco to do a few bits of shopping…. The bits we had forgotten in our preparations. Then onwards to the meeting point with Terry & Brenda, our travelling companions for the next couple of months. We arrived at around 2:40pm and was only waiting 10 minutes so good timing by all.

The tunnel was uneventful but we did get an earlier train by 45 minutes. Our picture is us waiting in line ready for boarding the train. Didn\’t have to wait long. Then onto Auchan for fuel. Surprised the price was €1.02 per litre which makes it around £0.78. We then decided to have a meal together to celebrate the start of this years adventure.

Our overnight stop was once again at Wissant and there was surprisingly quite a lot of room left. The evening saw us planning our trip to southern Spain over the coming days. It could be long days with slightly earlier starts but we will get to the sunshine quicker we hope.

So let the future begin again …..
