Day 11 – Algeciras (Ticket day)

Our plan today was to be down in Algeciras no later than 1:00pm but on the way top up the gas supply. The distance was 70km in total and would take us about an hour so we were planning on leaving by 11:30am. Just before that time Tom & Angie came over to me and needed assistance in putting the co-ordinated into their Garmin Sat Nav. Never used one of these devices but immediately spotted they were inputting the numbers in under the wrong format and also had written one down incorrectly. Soon had it sorted however I later find out that I forget to empty the loo. The consequence is we have a warning light on saying it needs emptying and nowhere to go with it whilst we sit on the Supermarket carpark. Impending doom I think especially in the morning but will have to deal with it then.

On arrival at the carpark we went shopping in Carrefour followed by Lidl and Mercadonna. Essentials like beer and spirits including the drink we had been introduced to yesterday were purchased, freezer and fridge stocked up again we are already for the off.

The evening we had dinner in another of the W@K chain of chinese buffet restaurants. Very nice indeed and we enjoyed the company of Brian & Ann who we met last year but did not spend too much time with. They had only a month last year but are likely to spend longer this year and may well follow us as we progress around the country.

We have an 11:30am boat tomorrow and so we are being encouraged to leave at 09:30am. We should land in Morocco around 1pm all being well so until tomorrow when we will be in Africa its good night from us…
