Day 1 – Canterbury CCC
Well we are here at the start of our holiday. We had a scare last week with a health issue with Tina. After visiting A&E on Saturday in Winchester for 6 hours then a visit to see a consultant on Sunday we finally got the all clear on Tuesday after Tina had a scan of her neck arteries.
We left home at 11am and the storage yard at 12 noon arriving at the Camping & Caravanning site in Canterbury around 3pm. We have sited ourselves on a pitch which should be an easy exit for the 7am start we hope to achieve tomorrow.
After topping up the fuel tank at Asda at 123.7p per litre and buying some more tea bags we are all set for the journey tomorrow. We are 17 miles from Eurotunnel which should take us 30-40 mins in the morning.
Tomorrow is the big journey so lots of driving…. More to follow…
