Week 1 Day 4
We had a text this morning from our friends who we were meeting up with to tour Scotland. Terry was taken into hospital and was given some emergency surgery at midnight. They are with MotorhomeFun on the Chester Food Rally. They will not now be joining us for our tour. We made the decision that we would continue with the holiday but it does mean I will have to do all the planning.
Around midday we decided to take Woody for a walk along the beach. I thought I would see how far I could get. We were both surprised at how far I walked. It was very windy on top of the bank but down on the beach it was less so. There was quite a lot of activity. Dog walkers, kids playing in the sand, kite flying….most enjoyable. On returning to the van we started chatting to the people in the van next door. Tina made a cuppa.
After about an hour we parted and I struggled to get back into the van….my knees couldn’t take any pressure. We had dinner and it wasn’t long before Tina was off to bed. She had run out of stamina and energy particularly owing to her recent fall.
