Day 21 La Linea

Tina asked today if we could stay a while at the campsite by the sea. She has fallen in love with the relaxing place with the sound of the waves. The sea today was choppy with a high wind and we had already committed to moving on. I did have to promise we will come back. Before we left our Danish neighbour was able to move one spot closer to the beach so he could have an uninterrupted view of the sea for the next 30 days. Idilic !!

We serviced the van and then on our way using the fast roads available here. We plan to find a supermarket and add some fuel. We ventured into Malaga and went round and round to find a suitable place to shop. Eventually we were able to find a Lidl and did our grocery shopping.

It started to rain on the journey and Tina mentioned how this was affecting her joints especially in her hands. It was blowing a gale for most of the 200 miles. I am so glad I wasn\’t towing a caravan.

We arrived at the port parking around 4pm and Tina then overcame the challenge of finding homes for all the items we had bought. I set too and fixed the shower holder that had come of the bathroom wall.

Our future travel companions soon returned to their van which we had found and were parked next to. Tomorrow we will set off to Carlos travel agents to buy our tickets to Tangier Med and hope to cross on Thursday.
