Day 26 Mohammedia

When we arrived at the Kenitra camp site yesterday Tina decided to take advantage of some of their services so she asked if they could take our washing to the Laundry. Great but what she didn\’t ask is when will it come back today. We enjoyed the time sitting out in the warm sunshine having coffee and enjoying the conversation between the four of us. Late morning we thought we would ask the question when could we expect the clothes to return. The chap on reception had no English hence we couldn\’t get a proper answer.

It was just before 2pm when we finally received our newly laundered clothes and we were soon exiting. It was a bargain at 60 MAD which is approximately £5. We were making our way to a supermarket in Rabat called Marjane. This would be the first experience of shopping in a large supermarket in Morocco for Eric & Annie. I think they were impressed as it is so similar to large French supermarkets.

The route took us through the centre of Rabat. It was a little sketchy at times as vehicles and people were coming from all directions and police on almost every major junction. I enjoyed the drive even though it took a lot of concentration. We did our shopping for some of the essentials and it was now 4:30pm so time to make our way to the next campsite.

We approached Camping L\’Ocean Bleu from aa different direction from the way I remembered from 7 years ago. Only when we got into the site I realised that they had made an additional entrance. The old approach still existed. The camp site was surprisingly full and we found 2 pitches close to each other and may reposition tomorrow after some of the vans move off in the morning.

Eric & Annie have booked a taxi to Casablanca in the morning which they will share with a German couple. The cost is 500MAD for 4 people which equates to approximately €50. I do hope they enjoy it. I would have loved to accompany them but I couldn\’t manage the amount of walking inevitably would have been involved. We will have a day chilling and soaking the rays and maybe have coffee and cake in the local cafe overlooking the sea. Idyllic
