Day 45 Tafraoute

After yesterdays weather we hoped things might improve. It was cold overnight and first thing but by mid morning we were getting some sunshine and things were warming up.

We decided to go to town this morning as we needed some basic provisions….. can\’t remember ever seeing our fridge so empty. I got the disability scooter out from under the bed and we made our way along the wide road into town. On the way we thought we might enquire about having a platform on wheels fabricated so that Tina could stand on it and be pulled along by the scooter. After much discussion and drawing things on paper I think we got our ideas across and the workshop is going to set too and make us something. We plan to collect it on Monday.

We bought our much needed items in the shops and also I sorted out my recharge for the internet so that I could watch the match later this evening. All four of us visited one of the local cafes and we ordered coffee au lait and Tina had a mint tea. I was expecting her not to like it but surprisingly she did albeit she had it without the supplied sugar unlike how the locals drink it. Each drink was under a £1…. you don\’t get that at home.

We got back to the vans and the assortment of locals plyed their trade selling cakes, nuts and also the mechanic to fix things. Eric asked to have his small lights swapped …. the one in the back for the one in the front. The guardian soon came around for the nightly fee of 15MAd or just over £1.

I watched the match live over the internet between AFC Bournemouth and Newcastle and we drew the match 1-1. We could easily have won the match if we had some luck on our side. We are still the relegation zone but hopefully this is the start of some better results although we have some tough teams to play in the next 6 weeks.
