Day 72 Villafranco De Los Barros

Our first job this morning was to get the van ready for the journey ahead and then go shopping at the nearby Mercadona supermarket. We needed basics but also wanted to grab somethings we have been missing live Chocolate biscuits and cake.

We were soon on the road around 11am. It was going to be a 3 hour plus journey but as we were going to pass the fuel station where we got LPG back in January we thought that it was sensible to fill the tank again. We put in just under 11 litres in our 25 litre tank which we thought was excellent as we have been away for 7 weeks in Morocco.

I made a comment that even though the roads were dual carriageways all the way the driving was boring. I missed the animals and people along the way and the variety of vehicles and the state of repair that some of them had been. None of these things exist in Europe understandably but even so makes for a dull drive.

After approximately 200 miles we arrived at our overnight stop at around 2:30pm. The rest of the afternoon we streamed videos and watched the news on the tv. I have used 15GB of data since yesterday and that would have cost 150MAD (£12.50) in Morocco but is part of the UK EE allowance.

Tomorrow we will travel about 200km before settling down to watch the AFCB match that has a 12:30pm (13:30pm here) kick off. There are no services at our next stop so we will service the van in the morning.
