Day 6 Carinena
What a strange day!! It had rained most of the night and was very cold so much so that we had snow at breakfast time. Tucker had a run and was not bothered by the snow. It was the first night I used the insulated sliver screen on the windscreen to try at keep the heat in and the cold out. In the morning it was soaking and we had no choice but to pack it went and lay it on the floor of the van.
Our LPG (gas) gauge was glowing red and Tina was worried that we would run out of gas. I assured her that I suspected we had approximately half a tank left. In spite of my reassurances we went looking for fuel and gas when we left the parkup. It wasn’t long before we pulled up on the forecourt. Terry filled his refillable bottles and then we swapped places. At that point one of the staff came out and informed us that they could not allow us to fill our tanks. Company policy… no caravans as it was a safety issue. After pleading with the manager and getting no where we decided we needed to find an alternative garage. It wasn’t long before we did that and then a staff member came out and helped by pushing the button.
The rest of the journey had a variety of weather conditions…. rain, sleet, snow, strong winds and yes some sunshine. What a strange day!!
We have chosen a parkup we have used before. Nothing special but it is free and safe. Tomorrow we should reach the mediterian coast and maybe some sunshine again. Lets hope!!
