Day 14 – Oualidia
Woke the morning thinking will she or won’t she…. start that is following our battery problems. The answer we found out later was indeed YES.
Last time we will be on electrics for a while so we took the opportunity to use the site electric to heat the water for showers saving us our valuable gas. As we opened the van we found everyone servicing their vans and attending to their windscreens. All shiny and bright now.
We left the sight at around 10:30am leaving Terry & Dereck to catch us up which they did just before our destination. We chose the scenic route down along the coast. It included many small villages with all new sights for our newbies. They all said how they enjoyed the drive down which we took at a leisurely pace.
This afternoon I listened to the AFCB commentary which worked wonderfully compared to my other experiences in Spain. We were playing Norwich and won 3-0. Great result.
When we arrived at our Guardian parking area we were greeted with a security screening access to the road needed to gain entry. Lots of road racing cars where being off-loaded ready for a road race around the local streets tomorrow. Practice commenced in the afternoon and the noise was either heaven or hell dependant on whether you like cars. There is also supposed to be a market tomorrow but not sure of where yet. I of course told my fellow travellers I was fully aware of all these extra attractions. They were not convinced…. I wonder why!
The photo is of a breakdown truck that fortunately I didn’t need this morning but just to show these things are available here.
