Day 9 – Estepona (Retirement finally)

The day had finally arrived when I officially pick up my State Pension. I have not worked for 4 years so the idea of retirement is not alien to me just that now I will be paid for the privilege.
The weather today was not kind…. Drizzling and la ittle cold for southern Spain so Tina was very happy that she managed to get the washing done yesterday when it was dry and sunny. We spent most of the day waiting for others to arrive. The first was mid afternoon followed by another in the early evening and then the final arrival was 10:30pm. All had used their Sat Navs and had got lost and taken extra time to find the campsite.
The morning saw me having my beard cut short. It was perishing sitting on a stool with my tea shirt off. As I said it was fresher yesterday.
I caught up on some reading in the afternoon whilst Tina was out with the dogs.
We sat and watched Tomorrowland, a Walt Disney film, in the evening as Tina had over exerted herself with the walk to the beach with a German lady staying here on site. They had conversed through a language translator on the phone for some difficult words and school English as the lady had said. It was also off to bed early for Tina as she was in pain.
Let\’s hope tomorrow will bring better weather….
